The Cecile Zakuani Scholarship Fund
One of the best periods in Steve Zakuani’s life was the two years he spent at the University of Akron on a soccer scholarship. Being from London, England, he had no idea what a soccer scholarship was and how it worked. However, after receiving one and taking full advantage of it, he wants to provide one teenager every year with the opportunity to experience what he did.
The Cecile Zakuani Scholarship Fund exists to provide talented soccer players from low income families who aspire to play in college the opportunity to fulfill that dream by providing a full years (two semesters) tuition. Recipients will be personally selected by Steve Zakuani.
