The Cecile Zakuani Scholarship Fund

One of the best periods in Steve Zakuani’s life was the two years he spent at the University of Akron on a soccer scholarship. Being from London, England, he had no idea what a soccer scholarship was and how it worked. However, after receiving one and taking full advantage of it, he wants to provide one teenager every year with the opportunity to experience what he did.

The Cecile Zakuani Scholarship Fund exists to assist individuals from low income families who aspire to play soccer at the college level to fulfill that dream. The scholarship fund has not yet been launched.
